Cedar Park is a suburb that borders Austin and lies to the northwest. As of 2009, the population is roughly 60,000 and has become a rapidly growing city like most of the Austin metro area. The city of Cedar Park has plans to develop the adjacent tract of land into a 182,000 sqft retail and office complex. This is very exciting for the city of Cedar Park!
Cedar Park also gets tons of recognition for the number of exemplary rated schools in the Leander Independent School District. Leander Independent School District continues to be among the nation's fastest-growing schools districts!
As for the future for Cedar Park real estate, the city has plans to bring a 95 acre, Schlitterbahn Water Park to town. The projected is set to be completed in the summer of 2012 and will include the water park, a hotel, a conference center, retail center, and restaurants. The park is also said to utilize the latest technology in water recycling. The Schlitterbahn Water Park is expected to create up to 1,000 new jobs for the city!
Cedar Park also has the Brushy Creek Skate Park under construction with the first phase completed on March 19th, 2010. The completed plans detail the park as a 15,000 sqft facility which features a modern street course, a large bowl, an upper deck, and mini bowl. Park is set to be completed in the Spring of 2010. The City of Cedar Park has the youth in mind with the development of numerous youth-oriented recreational centers.
