Highland Horizon is a new community just off of 620 in north Austin. Seemingly in west Round Rock, the community actually has an Austin address. With such an awesome location, fantastic looking homes, a beautiful community, and in the highly acclaimed Round Rock ISD, Highland Horizon has been growing at a rapid pace. The last time I was in Highland Horizon, there was construction on at least eight homes on ONE street going on simultaneously. The desirability of these high-end homes grows every day.
Highland Horizon is a new community with construction starting in 2009. The community does not have a community center yet, but there are plans for one in the future. Currently, there is a pond with fountains and some trails leading around the community. The home builders in the community are David Weekley Homes and Streetman Homes. Both builders are outfitting their homes on spacious lots with sweeping oak trees, stone and brick exteriors with dark wood accents, granite counters, upgraded kitchen backsplashes, hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, and jet tubs.
Highland Horizon has direct access to all of the area amenities one could ask for. HEB grocery store and St. David's Medical Center are right down the street. Retail centers and dining line the streets of 620. Round Rock High School is less than a five minute drive. Speaking of schools, the Round Rock Independent School District is one of the top in the area featuring several "exemplary" rated schools by the Texas Education Agency Accountability Ratings, including Deep Wood Elementary. Highland Horizon middle school students attend Cedar Valley Middle School.
Highland Horizon homes for sale in North Austinrange in price from $225,000 to $400,000. The community is too young to gauge averages, but most homes are around $300,000. The average size of homes in Highland Horizon is over 2,800 sqft., but this is subject to change as the community fills up.
