Hutto Homes For Sale

 

 

Homes for sale in Hutto are some of the most affordable in the area. Affordable prices mixed with a close-knit, friendly community puts Hutto at the top of the list for many buyers. Prices range from under $100,000 to around $500,000. If you're looking on the higher end of that spectrum expect to get a lot for your money, including quality materials, custom floor plans, and giant lots. 


Hutto is one of the fastest growing cities in Central Texas and in 2007 it was the fastest growing city in all of Texas based on statistical data from July 2000 to July 2006. With all of this growth, the number of Hutto homes for sale has grown. Builders are beginning to realize the numbers don't lie and have come to Hutto to capitalize on the desirability for homes in Hippo Nation. 


Most of the growth of Hutto is due to the 130 tollway that runs right through the city and 79 which connects cities like Taylor and Round Rock through Hutto. This has made Hutto very enticing for commercial development and should see tremendous growth in the next 5 years. 


The city of Hutto is very ambitious with plans for the future of the city. At one time they had big plans to develop the area across from Hutto High School, east of 130 tollway, south of 79, into a massive shopping complex mimicking The Domain development in Northwest Austin


Another future plan, that is if the light/medium rail train plans ever go through with San Antonio, Hutto will be right in line with a train stop. The plans for the passenger train call for a system connecting Georgetown to San Antonio, traveling through Hutto and Austin. If that ever happens expect Hutto to again be named the fastest growing city in Texas.


Hutto is also in USDA loan territory which means that you could get a 0% USDA loan because the city was in an eligible area. 0% down USDA loans were started as an incentive to get people to move out of the city limits. In most cities, this means living pretty far out. Hutto is very popular with buyer's because of the absence of a required down payment when going with a USDA loan and it is only about 25-30 minutes from Downtown Austin. USDA annually revises it's boundaries and has a limited allotment of money, so funds will periodically become unavailable.
