Let me preface this City of Hutto description with this: The residents of Hutto have more pride for their little city than most cities quadruple their size. This is evidenced by the Hutto Hippo statues outside the majority of business and many houses inHutto. They love their city to say the least. I've had several clients who refuse to live anywhere outside of Hutto's city limits!
Hutto resident's love their small town football, quiet living, and friendly, where-every-one-knows-your-name vibe. It's a special place and great for raising children with the schools right in the middle of the more popular neighborhoods. Also, don't forget the fishing, Brushy Creek runs right through the city and there are several popular fishing spots along the river through Hutto!
In 2007, Hutto was found to be the fastest growing city in Texas based on growth rate from July 2000 to July 2006. They had a staggering 665.7% growth in population during that time. This growth is expected to continue with the addition of 130 tollway traveling right through the city. It's hard to believe with all of this growth, Hutto still does not have a grocery store within their city limits (one is located just outside, rest assured, you will eat). However, Hutto real estate commercial growth is on the rise as well and that grocery store is coming real soon.
