Round Rock is a fantastic suburb of Austin that has made a name for itself from it's excellent shopping, high rated Round Rock Independent School District, and high-end, yet affordable homes. Homes in Round Rock, TX generally range from $140,000 to up to around $700,000, but there are a few communities that have homes up to $1 million or greater. Round Rock real estate and properties are popular because of the fantastic school district, but also for people who would prefer to live outside of the city, which can carry more traffic, hustle, and bustle. In July of 2009, the U.S. Census Bureau ranked Round Rock as the second fastest growing city in the United States. (Second only to New Orleans, who's growth numbers maybe a little skewed from hurricanes, rebuilding, people leaving and coming back, etc.) So, Round Rock real estate is in high demand and most of the growth is currently spreading north towards Round Rock Premium Outlets and east towards 130.
